MP3: Florence + The Machine - "Cosmic Love (Seven Lions Remix)

One of the best remixes I have heard in a while. It sounds huge but yet beautiful. It reminds me of the remix Datsik did of Coldplay's "Fix You" in the feel/atmosphere but also my reaction the first time I ever heard it. Its very rare that I find a remix this gorgeous (Not to mention something with a Dubstep feel). This track is going to be on repeat for a while.

MP3: Real Estate - "Exactly Nothing"

Well it is the middle of March and in my area, the seasonable temperatures are about 45-50 degrees (on a good) for this time of year. This week, however, has been quite the gift. Today's high was about 75 and its staying there till next week. It just feels too much like summer. So much like summer at this track from New Jersey's Real Estate makes me feel at ease. This was a B-side on their single "Easy" and today was actually the first time I heard it. This dreamy, poppy array of magical sounds has me reaching for the bathing suit... maybe in a few months.

MP3: The Kickdrums - "Thieves in the Choir"

Here's a super chill track from The Kickdrums that boasts a laid back atmosphere with a kicked back and strange guitar line, horn parts and of coarse, a nice in-the-pocket beat. On top of this, L.A.'s Casey Veggies throws down a nice verse that perfectly complements the track as a whole.

MP3: The Dean's List - "Hollywood"

I am very picky when it comes to hip-hop. In order to condense my "flavor" into a statement I would say that the world around the rapper (the beat, essentially) has to be interesting. The Dean's List is one of my favorite hip-hop artists and for that very reason. Just listen to this track and it has a nice mellow, dreamy atmosphere and a nice hook that really latches me on. Its a breath of fresh air to hear hip-hop songs like these.

MP3: Martin Solveig - "The Night Out" (Madeon Remix)"

I have taken a huge liking to French producer Madeon. He produces these really big and swift remixes and has carved out his own signature tone in the electronic world. The first time I heard of this kid was when he remixed Deadmau5's "Raise Your Weapon". It was one of the most impressive remixes I had ever heard. It was even more impressive that he was 16 at the time (only a year older than myself). Non the less, this popped up on my Soundcloud and I had to share.

MP3: Electric Guest - "This Head I Hold"

Get ready to get funky. Get ready to get groovin. Get ready to listen to your new favorite artist. Electric Guest is rather unknown at this point but when their new album Mondo comes out on April 24th I have a feeling they will grab some listeners. After about 10 seconds of listening to this song, I was hooked. It is just so catchy and such a fresh sound to hear from a new band. It's a perfect blend of vintage grooves with modern sounds, very Mayor Hawthorne-esque.

MP3: Housse De Racket - "Hey Champ (Chateau Remix)"

Here is a remix of the awesome "Hey Champ" by Housse De Racket. This track gets the royal treatment from Chateau and turns it into a Bumpin ear feast. Crank this baby up and I dare you to try and not dance. On top of the obvious funk to this remix, there are a lot of little nuances mixed in that make this an interesting listening pleasure as well as a dance groove.

MP3: Nas - "The Don"

Well this track it nuts! First, this is an experiment post from my iPad so if it comes out weird, my apologies. Anyways, this track is Nas' new single off his upcoming 19th studio album. We heard "Nasty" a while back which received great praise but this track out does "Nasty" is my opinion. The beat is just insane. Props to Saalam Remy and as always, Nas kills it.

Word is that Nas' new album is complete so be on the lookout for the details.
